• Foundation: Chain Multiple of 8 + 2. Sc in second chain from hook, ch 2. Turn.
• Skip 1 ch, *5 sc, ch 4, skip 3 ch, repeat from * across to the last 5 sc, end with ch 2, skip 1 ch, sc in last ch, ch 6. Turn.
• Row 2: 4 dc in first ch 4 space. Sc in the 3rd sc
  * 4 dc in ch 4 space, ch 4, 4 dc in same space, sc in 3rd sc. Repeat from * across to last 5 sc group, then 4 dc in last ch 2 space, ch 2. Tr in last sc. Turn.
• Row 3: Ch 6, 4 dc in first ch 2 space. (Hdc9tog in the next 4 dc, sc, & 4dc) ch 1 to finish the hdc9tog. *(4 dc, ch 4, 4 dc) in the next ch 4 space, hdc9tog, repeat from * across to the last group of 4dc, sc, 4dc, then 4 dc, ch 2 in the ch 6 space. Tr, ch 6 in same space. Turn
• Row 4: 4 dc in the ch 2 space, * puff st (4 long hds tog) in center of shell (the hdc9tog), (4dc, ch 4, 4 dc) in ch 4 space, repeat from * to last ch 4 sp. Puff stitch in the last shell, 4 dc in ch 6 space, tr in same space, ch 6, turn.
• Repeat rows 3 & 4 until piece is desired size.
