Connected Spiral Stitch

The Connected Spiral Stitch creates a spiral like design on your fabric. It would be a great choice for projects like blankets, scarves, and hats!

Abbreviations

• ch: Chain
• dc: Double Crochet
• CL4: Cluster4: work 3dc over stem of dc just worked, but leaving last loop of each dc on hook, then work 4th dc as indicated leaving last loop as before (5 loops on hook), yo and through all 5 loops.

Instructions
Foundation Chain: Multilples of 3 + 5.

1. Row 1 (right side): Work 1dc into 6th ch from hook,
   *3ch, skip 2ch, work cluster4 placing 4th dc into next ch;
   rep from * to last 2ch, 3ch, work cluster 4 placing 4th dc in last ch, turn.
2. Row 2: 3ch (count as 1dc), 1dc into next 3ch sp,
   *3ch, work cluster4 placing 4th dc into next 3ch sp;
   repeat from * to end, placing final dc into top of ch at beg of previous row, turn.
3. Repeat row 2 until you have reached your desired length.
