• 5 mm crochet hook

Abbreviations, Notes and Tips:

• TC: Twin Cluster *Yarn over, insert hook into next sc, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over, pull through first two loops on hook* 3 times in same space, skip next sc, repeat *to* 3 times in next sc, yarn over, pull through all seven loops on hook. Ch.2

Instructions:

Band: Ch 12
• Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each st across. (11)
• Row 2: Ch 1 turn, sc-blo in each stitch across. (11)
Repeat row 2 until band measures approx. 18½ inches in length without stretching.

Body of Hat: Ch 1, and work 64 sc along side of the band.

• Next: Next, line up both of the longer sides together and slip stitch to the first sc of row 14 to join. Bind off leaving a long enough tail to sew beanie together. See pic below



• Next: Next, attach yarn to a stitch at the top of the beanie. Thread a needle and weave the needle in and out of each sc post til you come back to the beginning. Pull yarn to close the top of your beanie and fasten. Weave in any loose ends!
