• 1 ball Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball (worsted/ #4, 518 ysd, 5.3 oz), Colorway shown: metallic - Om Opal

Gauge: 17 sts X 6 rows = 4" in pattern

Opal Arrows Infinity Scarf

Notes and Tips: f you prefer a longer cowl, you will need to purchase an additional skein of Shawl in a Ball, but you can just continue with the 3 row repeats until you get the size desired. If you do not like the Chainless Starting Double Crochet (abbreviated CSDC), you can substitute a ch 3 for the stitch. Do NOT work into the chains from Row 2 on — just work 2 dc into each ch-2 sp.

Instructions:

• Row 1: Ch 45, dc in the 4th ch from the hook (skipped 3 chs count as first dc of row), ch 2, skip 2 chs, *dc in the next 4 sts, ch 2, skip 2 chs; rep from * until 2 sts remain, dc in the last 2 sts, turn. (28 dc)
• Row 2: CSDC in the first st, dc in the next 3 sts, [ch 2, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 4 sts and chs] twice, ch 2, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 6 sts and chs, [ch 2, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 4 sts and chs] 3 times; turn. (30 dc)
• Row 3: CSDC in the first st, dc in the next 5 sts, [ch 2, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 4 sts] twice, ch 2, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 2 sts, [ch 2, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 4 sts] 3 times, dc in the last 2 sts; turn. (30 dc)
• Row 4: CSDC in the first st, dc in the next st, ch 2, skip 2 chs, *dc in the next 4 sts, ch 2, skip 2 chs; rep from * until 2 sts remain, dc in the last 2 sts, turn. (28 dc) >
• Row 5: Repeat Row 2.
• Row 6: Repeat Row 3.
• Row 7 – 108 (or to length desired): Repeat Rows 4 — 6; break yarn and finish off leaving an 18" tail.
• Assembly: Using long tail, whip stitch the last Row to Row 1 without twisting scarf.
