Granite Stitch Men's Scarf
Skill Level: Easy
Finished Size: 5" X 66"
Materials:
- 1 3.5oz (199 yds) ball of SOFT worsted weight yarn such as Bernat Satin
- Crochet hook size J (6mm)
Abbreviations:
- Esc: Extended Single Crochet
- Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch (2 loops on hook)
- Yarn over, pull through first loop only (2 loops on hook)
- Yarn over, pull through both loops
- sc: single crochet
- sp: space
- sk: skip
- st: stitch
- ch: chain
- rep: repeat
- sl st: slip stitch

Granite Stitch
Instructions:
- Row: Chainless Foundation SC 26 or any even number. Ch 1 and turn. (25 sc)
- Row: 1 Esc in first st. *Ch 1. skip next st. 1 esc in next st. Repeat from * to end. (13 esc and 12 ch) ch 1 and turn.
- Row: Esc in first st. 1 esc in next ch-1 sp. *Ch 1. Sk next st. 1 esc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last st. 1 esc in last sc. (14 est & 11 ch.) Ch 1 and turn.
- Row: 1 esc in first st. *Ch 1. skip next st. 1 esc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 st. Ch 1. Sk next st. 1 Esc in last st (13 Esc & 12 ch). Ch 1 and turn. Repeat last 2 rows until scarf is desired length. To finish, crochet one row of sc in each st and ch-1 st across (25 sc). Ch 1 & turn. Sl st in each st across and finish off (25 sl st).
Optional: Add fringe or tassels as desired.
