Shrimp with Lemon Cream Sauce
Shrimp with Lemon Cream Sauce

Ingredients

1 lb angel hair pasta, uncooked
2 Tbsp butter
2 Cloves garlic, chopped
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 lemon, juiced and zested
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp ground white pepper
1 C heavy cream
Parmesan cheese
black pepper to taste

Instructions
  1. Cook and drain pasta
  2. While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large sauce pan over medium heat. Saute garlic in the butter 1-2 minutes or until browned.
  3. Add shrimp to pan; cook 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add lemon juice, zest, oregano, and white pepper; continue to cook another 2-3 min or until shrimp turn pink.
  5. Reduce heat to low and gently stir in cream; heat 2-3 min.
  6. Serve over pasta with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Add freshly milled black pepper.
Options:
  • Vary the type of paste used. Fettuccine is a good substitute.
  • Add asparagus to pasta during the last 3 minutes of cooking.
  • Substitute chichen for the shrimp, or part of the shrimp. Be sure to completely cook the chicken before adding to the cream sauce.
